Sindiswa "Sindy" Ndlovu

Sindiswa "Sindy" Ndlovu

POSITION: Creative Head

Sindiswa “Sindi” Ndlovu is a passionate theatre practitioner, performer, and arts educator dedicated to transforming young creatives through the performing arts. Sindi started her performing career at age 12 on the Vulingoma stage, formerly known as Zabalaza. She subsequently went on to study and graduate at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, where she majored in Musical Theatre. She has worked as a performer locally and internationally in theatre and film productions, travelling the world and sharing her artistry with diverse audiences. In 2024, she was nominated for Best Supporting Role at the Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards - a testament to her talent and impact within the South African theatre industry. These experiences have shaped her global perspective and deepened her understanding of the transformative power of performance. Growing up on tour with Zabalaza afforded Sindi a rare and formative experience, not only performing on stage but gaining first-hand insight into the logistical and operational demands of touring life.

Now serving as Creative Head of the Vulingoma Youth Choir, Sindi leads this year’s highly anticipated production, Love Letters to Africa, set to premiere in Germany in early April 2026. This production is a vibrant celebration of African identity, heritage, and contemporary expression. Featuring original choreography, re-imagined South African classics, and evocative storytelling, the production fuses choral excellence with dynamic theatricality. Under Sindi’s visionary direction, the stage becomes a living canvas where music, movement, and narrative converge to create a performance that is both artistically compelling and profoundly moving.
